How we reach a conclusion.

We begin with the question a reader needs answered, check the information that matters, and explain the reasoning and uncertainty behind the result.

1. Ask a useful question

Every researched article or comparison starts with a clear question, the people it is meant to help, and the limits of what it can answer.

2. Check the claims

We connect important claims to appropriate sources. Official documentation is useful for product features and policies; independent sources add context when a company’s own claims are not enough.

3. Keep uncertainty visible

Confirmed, partly confirmed, disputed, and undisclosed information are not treated as the same thing. If the available evidence cannot support a clear answer, we say so.

4. Explain the judgment

Reviews and recommendations show how the facts connect to the conclusion. Affiliate or sponsorship status is never part of that judgment.

5. Keep important information current

Technology changes quickly. Product comparisons are reviewed on a regular schedule, with an initial target of every 90 days. Information that may be out of date is marked for readers until it has been checked again.
